Alex Iezzi Research Geophysicist USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory Here you will find information about my research projects, publications, CV, and some photos from my adventures traveling around the world to study volcanoes! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. About Me:
My main areas of research are infrasound, seismology, and seismo-acoustics, especially from volcanoes! I aim to help constrain the effects of the atmosphere and topography on observed infrasound signals to better understand characteristics of the source and improve monitoring capabilities. As an undergraduate at Connecticut College, I began my research career on river geomorphology and moved towards my passion for volcano monitoring with a senior honors on lahar inundation mapping. When I'm not in the office, I can be found hiking, running, and generally exploring the outdoors! |
